ZamZam Bottle from 1950 from the City of Madinah https://haramainantiques.com/

The brokenness of the ZamZam bottle from Madinah reminded the seeker of a deeper lesson of our existence in this world. Do you recall the time when our elders would bring back the Shifa bowls from the blessed land of Madinah? With sheer love and excitement, they would pour ZamZam water within the bowl saying; “drink from the bowl of shifa.”

It was indeed the clay of Madinah that was healing our hearts!

And here we received a broken ZamZam bottle from the blessed land from the 1950’s. It is indeed broken! Yes, it is broken, broken! Cracked and shattered into pieces just as the heart shatters through every twist and turn on this path. The twists and turns were simply placed on our path to heal us - healing us through breaking us.

Do you see the cracks and pieces glued back together? These cracks and pieces of priceless clay remind us that, although we do not see the value in that which is broken - Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad ‎ﷺ does. He ﷺ heals the broken-hearted with His ‎ﷺ love, mercy and compassion.

That is the reality - The heart can only heal through breaking.

Recall for a moment, the woman who came to the Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with her needs…

Narrated by Anas ibn Malik RA:

A woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said; ”Messenger of Allah, I have some need with you.” He said to her, “Mother of so and so, sit in the corner of any street you wish and I shall sit with you.” So she sat and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ also sat with her till she fulfilled her need.

(Sunan Abi Dawud)

Indeed, He ﷺ is always present, waiting to heal our brokenness through His ﷺ love, mercy and compassion.

Just as the ZamZam bottle sits in its brokenness, we sit together in our brokenness at the court of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. As our hearts yearn and ache to be in Your majestic ﷺ presence, we remember the Shifa bowl once again…

The shifa bowl healed us with every sip of ZamZam and the ZamZam bottle, although broken, heals the heart, knowing that its dust was gathered in the City of Light  - Madinah!

It is indeed a deep and profound reminder that it is only when we break -

full of pain and hurt, can our hearts begin to heal.

The healing is simply the Light of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
