The analogy between cleaning, cooking and working

Well it’s quite simple - it’s goes like this:

If you are good at cleaning and getting things in order then you will quite easily walk into a chaotic office and start filing things where they belong, getting rid of what’s not needed and clearing the path to create ease for everyone around you. 

Similarly, if you enjoy cooking, have the right ingredients and can follow a recipe - well then it’s quite simple to work up a grand project - So long as you have the right sous-chefs in the room! I mean you could experiment with a new ingredient but that might just spoil things or you never know you might just be in for a surprise! 

It’s a bit like making kheer - clean before you begin, ensure you have all the right ingredients and then watch the magic happen before your eyes!

Even on the spiritual path, the Spiritual Guide gives us tasks such as cleaning and cooking - cleaning humbles the ego and cooking reminds us of the importance of feeding the soul that which it will benefit from. As our level of humility increases within our actions - our level of sincerity will no doubt increase.

It’s simply that simple - learn to clean and cook and you’ll do wonders in your day jobs and implement the qualities of humbleness and sincerity as you progress on your spiritual journey.
